The National Green Front (NGF) is a fresh political startup in Sri Lanka. We are a brand new party established by a few young activists in order to change the political culture of Sri lanka. As the National Green Front our political ideology is ‘Social Democracy with Environmental Wisdom.’
Five years ago, the NGF was started as a green political party in Sri Lanka. After fulfilling the required criteria, this year, we are seeking registration with the Election Commission of Sri Lanka.
We have not joined any other political alliances nor have we formed any coalitions to date. We contested the last parliamentary election held in 2020 as an independent group. We managed to obtain 5790 votes from the Gampaha District, the only electorate we contested in. Since then, we have regrouped and have worked from there to reach where we are today.
